Q: I would like to withdraw funds from my Private Retirement Scheme (PRS) to pay my housing loan monthly instalments. Is this withdrawal subject to tax?

A: No, withdrawals for the purpose of reducing your housing loan from your PRS account are exempted from paying income tax. However, this can only be done once every calendar year from each PRS Provider.
