Q: My child is 5 years old. My husband is claiming RM2,000 child relief on this child. Am I still eligible to claim tax relief on the childcare fees for the same child?   

A: Yes, you are still eligible to claim tax relief of up to RM3,000 for childcare fees paid to a childcare centre registered with the Department of Social Welfare, even though your husband is claiming child relief for the same child, provided this relief for childcare fees is only claimed by either the husband or wife.
